You don't need to be told how hard the Pagan community has been hit financially by the current economic climate. We all either have been affected personally or know someone that has is going through job losses, cutbacks or some form of financial loss.

There are many programs available out there that provide assistance in some manner to the general community. Many of them are run by mainstream churches with large budgets, large congregations and deep pockets. Some of these programs are limited to members of their churches.

We've decided that the Pagan Community needs something just for them. Some type of emergency assistance program to help OUR families in need when utilities are in danger of being cut off, when there is no money to feed our children, and when eviction is imminent. Before we can offer assistance, we need to have funds to offer. To achieve this, we've begun a series of fundraisers. To make this program successful, we will need participation. We will need people to volunteer their time for some projects. We will need people to donate money, and sellable goods for rummage sales. We need people to donate recyclable items when we are collecting them to turn in for cash. The idea here is that if everyone helps a little, the gain will be a lot.

This is a new direction for NGS as well as a new project for the entire Pagan community. Let's all pitch in show the world that our community can open our hearts, roll up our sleeves and take care of our own.

**Update**: We haven't been fundraising long, but through rummage sale, sales on eBay, cash donations and selling children's clothes at a local consignment sale we've made a good start but still have a way to go before we can open the program up to begin assisting families. We still need your help. Watch for new fundraisers and participate in the current ongoing ones. You can email ladycharissa@ngsolitaries.com to make arrangements to donate goods for sale. You can make monetary donations either through Paypal at northgeorgiasolitaries@hotmail.com or mail to:
