Our mission is to provide a place that is open to solitaries of all traditions to learn and celebrate together. We provide this place in an open environment that lifts the veil of secrecy for those in our lives that are not Pagan and allows them to see what we are about in hopes of removing the ignorance that breeds fear so that one day we may all practice as openly as others are allowed to practice their faith.
North Georgia Solitaries is a relatively young and active church. The church was founded in August of 2004 with 6 members showing up at the first meeting. Our membership has grown to over 400 in a few short years. During that time we've held numerous rituals, workshops, camping trips and socials. NGS is the host of the Atlanta Witch's Ball.
We are a family friendly church that works hard to offer a place for pagans of all traditions to feel free to share, worship and socialize together. We've spent the last few years reaching out to build bridges in the community with other groups, covens and churches.
None of this growth and activity would be possible without the tireless efforts of some of the members. We are fortunate to have built a family here.
NGS offers a school with a formal training program for the Eclectic Solitary Witch taught by Lady Charissa, a High Priestess of the Grove of the Goddess.
2009 marks the founding of the Pagan Assistance Fund. We've taken on this project long-term. We are determined to raise enough funds to be able to open the fund up and provide assistance to Pagan Families in Crisis. Watch our page under the PAF tab to see how you can be a part of this project and for continued updates on our progress.
You can currently find the schedule and details on upcoming rituals on our Yahoo Group. We have the dates posted in our calendar section and details are posted for the current ritual in the message section. We ask that you sign up in the database if you plan on attending.
Our ordained clergy performs many services. If you are looking for clergy to perform pagan or interfaith services you can email
LadyCharissa@ngsolitaries.com to set up an appointment to discuss your needs and how we can fill them.
